Saw this pix online and couldn't resist the bubble comments as they just seemed to fit. Apparently the photographer was laying on his back to get a shot of that ceiling when he was approached by a couple of curious pigeons.
They just looked like henchmen for 'Da Oiganization' to me:

I think you may be confusing the prehistoric with the alcoholic, Ron.

Right on, its the make-up of the crew that makes it a happy ship.

No matter how bad a fix you find yourself in, introducing a bit of humour .... albeit sometimes fairly dark humour ... makes it all the more bearable.

Also RIP Nichelle Nichols .. the super sparks Lt Uhura on the Starship Enterprise. Always there with any new transmission .....

On holiday in Jamaica, my mate went to a Medieval themed party where everyone dressed up as knights etc.

He asked a local lady why she was carrying plums in her evening gown?

She corrected him saying “They’re m’damsons in dis dress”.

My Granny was fond of Seedless Damson Jam. Is it still available? Or has the Damson gone the way of the Medlar and Greengage.

I have an almost-full jar of Wilkin & Sons Damson jam in the kitchen cupboard. Damsons have stones, not seeds, so even if whole fruit was used to make the jam, I suppose it could be regarded as seedless.

The local farm shop has stocks of Wilkin's medlar and greengage jams and many more of that company's delicious products. And if get stuck, their factory and factory shop are only a 15-minute drive away. Blessed am I.

I am reminded of the Military humour designation - 'Army form blank', referring to the fact that the rolls (hard paper not soft tissue) were all marked 'Government Property'.

Thanks for the info.

Sometimes I wonder if Wilkin's jam is produced for the Bridge and the Duty Mess gets Chivers or Aldi own brand.
