Well of course you would have to ring together. What sort of ship would it be if you were allowed to ring what you wanted on one and someone else rang what they wanted on another.
(Probably not much in steering with the telegraphs unless you have a rudder behind each prop).

Azipods with Kort Nozzles no less Tom. Thats why she handles so easy. The tunnel for the aft thruster is now a Black Bush tank.

Does this mean I no longer have to heave on the steering oar? That is a big relief.

I have seen variable speed and variable pitch in all manner of steerable propulsors. None of them requiring a telegraph.
(And you can heave over the side. No privileges for the wheelhouse wallahs, risk the blow back like the rest of us).

Don't you just love it when I come in late on the conversation, send my thoughts and then I go to bed. Goodnight chaps. PS. Now you can chatter away among yourselves

I'm so glad you cleared a hard over-up, all these years I thought it followed a hard-on. What a great site, I learn something new each day.

Has Pats come back with the stores yet, I was hoping for a few items I requested.
Ice Cream cones (Heavy duty) Left handed corkscrew (motorised) Bald man's comb (with polish applicator). Trouser furling rig (with Spanish Windlass). Anyone else expecting anything they dare reveal?

Well I don't know about incoming stores (heaven knows what's in the boxes I 'acquired') but,
On having a look though the deepest recesses of the booze locker I keep finding stuff, such as; Some boxes with a broad arrow (Pusser's mark to you grey funnel chaps). More boxes with words written on the top - 'Leap Frog Milk' - Looks very old. Some cases which I though might be some palatable ales and seemed at first sight to be Craft Beer, but on closer inspection it actually said Kraft Beer... Any ideas?

The Kraft Beer was a mistake, we only got it because we liked the way it came in triangular bottles covered in silver paper, but it tastes of very little and sticks to the roof of your mouth.

I've always wondered, with Tartan paint, do you have to use a different brush for each clan?
Red-17, my sense of adventure got left behind when we moved house for the 4th time in 18 months, about 20 years ago. I lost my elan and panache at the same time, but a happy find of Braggadocio has meant I can still talk big.

Kraft beer -- made from Kraft Dinner -- Possibly from an Italian recipe for wheat beer, but noodles used to make the wort. It's the lack of hops that make it taste like gnats pee -- but as they say -------------- Any port in a storm!

Inasmuch as the GD is now a catamaran, I suggest those who want to adventure to the South Pole to plant the GD's house flag there use the port hull, while the others can stay in Invercargill. South Polites will only be gone a couple of days -- top speed to McMurdo Sound and then by "Whirly Bird" to the South Pole courtesy of SSR --- if he's around?

We will also need some rubber nails to go with the glass hammers.
