Morning Star of Fraserburgh

My wife's grandfather James Shand was a partner owner of the fishing vessel Morning Star from 1907 to 1916 when she struck a mine and was sunk with all hands, including James' business partner and his partner's son.
Does anyone know any more about this incident?

Hi Alick,
Have a look here: https://www.wrecksite.eu/wreck.aspx?176794
All hands - naval reserves were lost.
Regards
Hugh

Morning star

Thank you very much, Hugh!

You are a star, Shipmate. The mystery of what Morning Star was doing in the Adriatic is now perfectly clear. Come round...
