FS Jean Bart or FS Richelieu
Jean Bart seems likely.

The ship beyond could be the Cruiser Suffren.

The only one near to that U boat number was Almeda Star torpedoed by U-86 250mls. west of the Outer Hebrides.
U-107 torpedoed the Andalucia Star.
U-47 torpedoed the Arandora Star.
U-43 torpedoed Avelona Star.
U-201 torpedoed Avila Star.
Maybe there is a typo in my book. Terrible waste of personnel & ships.

Can`t argue with that, just shows you can`t always believe what you read, have made a note in my tome to that effect. Almeda Star.
