Once again E S has been let down by Wikipedia. It seems likely that to blend in around Mundrabilla a chap or Cobber as I believe he may be called must drink Fosters and play the Diggerydoo. I can hum to Tie Me Kangeroo Down so I disqualify myself.
Anyway the country is banjaxed with all the fires, I may go to Hawaii for Christmas.

Didn't think that you would fit in at Mundrabilla township. I certainly wouldn't have.

The northern lights of old Ler-A Wick
Mean home sweet home to me.

Bit of a seafood odour from the men at the bar, could they have had Lobster Thermador for supper?

Speaking of drink I was introduced to an Irish cocktail over the holidays. A pint of Guinness with a potato in it.

I sincerely wish all the GD crew could be hung, drawn and quartered .........

Their pictures hung in a hall of fame
be Drawn in a golden coach
and finally, quartered in the arms of someone they love.

My X-ray results are in.....Pneumonia,Athertomatous Aorta and Osteo Arthritis. Calcification of the Aortic knob. Spurs noted at the Thoracic vertbrae.....So there you have it...I am old already.

On top of that I have just been diagnosed with shingles...Some festive season this has turned out to be. Jumping over the wall seems almost reasonable now. Catch up with you guys later. I leave Farmer John in Charge so behave yourselfs!!

Sir W!

Damn near a full house. I doubt Charon will accept you with all that baggage. Aren't jingles traditional at this time of year?

Chin up (ignore any resulting pains in the neck) trust other end of knob still operational. All the best for 2020.

Sorry to hear of your problems BB. These problems creep up on us as we all get older. I wish you well for 2020 and beyond.

Immunisation against shingles is available (here in Oz anyway) and the YMs and I were immunised 4 or 5 years ago (?). We have had no side effects and I would recommend it to any who have not yet been immunised. At least it is one thing that we can cross off the list of potential problems.

We get the shingles jab at 70 (a year to go), at 65 the pneumonia one is available (I've had mine). I always take annual the 'flu one too. They really don't want to catch anything from us at all when they tend to the bedpans and wipe the drool from our chins or perhaps Charon has to apply for pratique?

(No one seems able to explain how, having had both shingles - mid 30s - and its preceding pox, I am not immune already but nursey says I must have the jab to schedule anyway).

One would hope that a Gentleman would not need "Drool" wiped from any other orifice. Most IOM nurses are Irish angels.

Jeeze Sir William if you were a horse you would be shot so stay as far away as you can for Veterinarians and stables.

Hope things improve in the New Year, especially the calcified knob

I too expect the Tory government to spark inflation. But not by that much.

I think one can drip wherever there is a mucous membrane - the taste is different (I am told).

Work will be completed by 05/01/2020, we should be ready for sailing on the late tide. Any suggestions as to a destination? Somewhere pleasantly warm would be very acceptable, and I don't mean just getting back into bed and going back to sleep

I am a little nervous about Up Helly Aa, the Christmas tree would go like a rocket, we'd better get that down before some helmeted pyromaniac gets the wrong idea.

I knew a helmeted nymphomaniac with pyromaniac tendencies.. .. Hot stuff she was, Johnny Cash immortalized her in song... "Ring of fire" says it all really
