Three Brass Balls

Remember the old Pawn Shop Joke.

I was searching Google to find out who made the old joke many years ago and found a site that was selling the Three Ball Sign, I could not believe the price they were asking for it. $2,500.00 dollars.

Until about 3 years ago there was a shop (very run down) in the local town with the three brass balls outside.

An old joke. Well known and honest pawnbroker before the magistrate complaining that he had been rooked over a deal involving two cocks for the table.

His worship: "Well Mr. Smith you can't expect to have three of everything"

No doubt you all know why one of the pawnbroker's balls hangs lower.

It is on a longer chain.

The joke that I was trying to find was about a Comedian that was on the radio in the 1950s said " I asked my girl friend to meet me on the corner near the pawn Shop and she can kiss me under the balls"
He was fired from any more radio shows. Just cant think of his name.

He had a few disputes with the Beeb in his day … wasn't one to hold back.

I believe he was also 'canned' for this one:

A man was walking along a mountain path which had only room for one, with a long drop on one side and a steep cliff on the other. He saw a young woman walking towards him and he didn't know whether to toss himself off or block her passage......
