Bank Line " White Ships"

Anyone interested in the Bank Line " White Ships", I.e. The Inchanga, Isipingo, and Incomati, might like to read my article in the June issue (due out soon) of the magazine "Shipping Today and Yesterday". It is a piece about my time on the Inchanga in 1952, and about the three ships that Andrew Weir had built just prior to the war to run from India to Natal. Only the Inchanga and Isipingo survived to have a long land successful life, after their sister ship was torpedoed off Lagos during the war. These two had a few trips across the Atlantic running through the U-boats, but came through unscathed to spend the rest of their days chugging to and fro across the Indian Ocean visiting all the ports on the way.

Happy days!
