Big Bang

I was rummaging through the attic yesterday looking for a cable when I came across this old newspaper cutting showing an aerial view of the Hanbury Crater. Even in black and white it's a pretty impressive picture.

Thought to be the largest non-nuclear explosion of World War Two. It's of interest to me because it happened in my home county which is why I kept the old cutting. Even now they're not sure how many died in this explosion.

You can still make it out on Google Earth.
