New Scam?

I have had 2 text messages on my phone telling me I have a voice mail, both of which have an unknown email address attached.
Needless to say there is no voice mail on my phone.
I think they can stick their email address where the sun don't shine.
Possible new scam?
Roger.

This one seems to be a popular scam. I was visiting an old friend a couple of weeks ago and he got a call from BT about his home Wi Fi. Apparently, according to the female caller, his hub had been corrupted and invaded by a rogue programme that could steal all his personal information, empty his bank account, and wreck any other domestic appliances linked to the Wi Fi hub.

"Well, f.....k me" replies my mate.

"Pardon sir?"

"Well, f...k me" my mate repeated.

"What did you say sir?"

"I said, 'F....k me, whoever would do such a thing, the dirty lying b....st...rds, they must be absolute cu....ts to go round stealing innocent victims data, I shall keep an eye open for the f.....ing sh...holes when they call round. Thank you for your kind help."

"Click."

My mate is over 80 now, and has had an interesting life, to say the least!
