Thanks for the welcome, I like many others am a member of Ships Nostalgia and have noticed my profile and gallery photos no longer exist there.

Have now joined Shipping History and see familiar posts from SN members on this site.
Can somebody please enlighten as to what is taking place in this regard. I trust I have not offended anybody with my not too many posts.

Hey! Welcome aboard -- I jumped ships a long time ago and so far have seen no offence from anyone here, other than on one particular stormy weather thread where it seems to be part of the repartee and not taken seriously.

Thanks Tom what I am confused about is Ships Nostalgia and why my input there over the years has been deleted as far as I can tell. I agree I have never come across anything untoward on the site.

Roscoes...if you look in the search element of SN you will see hundreds of comments on why the gallery doesn't function any more,which is why so many have come over here,although many of us were already onboard!

It isn't anything personal....but appears to be a combination of new ownership/non hard backing of files and transmission of files to 'the Cloud'.....loads of files pre 2005 are there but thousands are not.

As I said check the search elements and you will find some very irate comments.

As Geoff says - Many irate comments on SN if you search, but some of the more irate wont be found because the Canadian Admin deleted them.

Thanks very much for the warm welcome guys.

Out of interest tried to log into SN and discovered I now had to reset my pass word. logging in I found my profile which had disappeared, but not any of my gallery. We can but live in hope that perhaps one day it will get sorted out.

It is good to see so many of us 'on board' here. SN has now been deluged (again) with Korean messages - apparently urging one to join an on line gambling site. I have been checking in occasionally on SN, just in case all had been restored but I think that is little short of wishing for the moon. I can't see any point in going there at all any more. The ship's not actually sunk but it is certainly dead in the water.
