Chicken with an estimated 50 million birds. However the most abundant wild bird is a Red billed Weaver/Quelea.

I have no idea what it is called in a ship but, in a house or barn of timber construction, it would be called a diagonal truss or bracing truss.

Sorry not that. Clue > In the ships bow (the term sounds like breathing heavy).
