Medals

My Dad served in the RN from 38-59, I am trying to piece together, what medals he had. I have passed on all my Dads stuff to my nephew, to keep it in the family.
My Dad served on Town and Colony Class cruisers, and HMS Apollo.
He was torpedoed on the Malta run when on HMS Nigeria, did the Russian convoys,
North Atlantic convoys (including HMS Gateshead), minelaying in 43-44 on HMS Apollo, HMSs Newfoundland, Bermuda, Sheffield, was involved in Korean War
Served as a training officer at HMS Fisgard for a period.
I recall some of his medals (all campaign), but would appreciate if someone could help, or steer me in the right direction to find out.

Medals

Go to https://www.gov.uk/government/public...ing-for-medals
and apply. You will need his Service Certificate. If you haven't got it you can apply at https://www.gov.uk/get-copy-military...-elses-records

I have used the first one to get a medal which I didn't know I was entitled to. Not difficult but it takes a few weeks to get the results.

It's all on Google - you only have to ask...
