Another site, another name.
I now use the name "SJB," but to many here I am still "stein." I did neither change my name, nor use fully use it when I moved here from SN. Which in hindsight might have been a bit stupid. My real name is Svein Jan Bentsen, and inasmuch I sell paintings, some of which I have posted on the two sites, hiding behind acronyms and rewriting must be considered pointless. One poster recently called me "Mister S", I am not sure if that was because he could not find any additional letters or if it was slightly sarcastic meant. I suggest that if anyone of you should direct a comment towards me, and should find SJB a bit sparse, you might enlarge it a bit with my real name. Svein Bentsen

SJB, no sarcasm intended, just being polite as I had no idea what your new name was, however I did know you were Stein from SN.

LC, I agree - always enlightening and informative. My wife and I were lucky enough to visit Svein, at his home in Norway, about a year ago. We had a week of being treated like royalty at his lovely home, situated on a hillside overlooking a lake. He picked us up from Oslo airport and it was like 2 old friends meeting again. He is a warm and amazing person and I have always been impressed by his breadth of knowledge and interests.
In that week, he showed us around his local area and took us on a couple of trips to Oslo visiting museums and places of interest. All this in spite of battling his illnesses but notably, enjoying his favourite cakes and ice creams..... It was a fabulous week we enjoyed immensely and had planned for Svein to visit us this year but Covid prevented that. Hopefully we will get over to see him again soon when the restrictions are loosened enough. We write to each other regularly so that will have to do for now. JJ. PS. Svein, did I manage to write all you told me to? .............Just kidding!! |

Hi SJB, Good to meet you here again. I may slowly start posting images again and look forward to your expert comments then. Cheers!
