Help identifying vintage 28ft steel lifeboat

Could somebody help me identifying the origin/yard/etc of this particular lifeboat? My granddad saved it from the scrap somewhere in the 60's.

Its made from galvanized steel, double riveted, about app. 28ftx10ft (8,60mx3,20) and it had some sort of propelled stern drive which in turn was driven by a mechanism operated by the passengers (instead of oars).

Any help or insight would greatly be appreciated.

Pictures here (for one reason or another, it doesn't show the pictures here)

Unconfirmed until now: it was build at nova scotia?
