OCR Optical Character Recognition
Has anyone experience of OCR, please?
Perhaps this is not possible but I what I would like to achieve is: OCR a jpg photo image (caption for a museum exhibit) which is in German. Feed the result into Google translate to produce an English version. I am trying to avoid typing the several paragraphs of German straight into Google translate. I can read half of it but not all. Crazy, huh?   Any other suggestions welcome, of course. FORGET IT - I have found a method but have been unable to delete this post for some reason.

Thanks Jupiter.
It turned out easier than I expected. I used: https://www.onlineocr.net/ Then pasted it into Google Translate as you suggested.

Educating me! That is one of the beauties of SH, its kind people (and the GD).  Do you think that Donald will even understand the problem, never mind my solution? YM  (For a minute at the time I had convinced the YMs that I was 'smarter than the average bear'. I was soon disillusioned.)
